granularity selection in views - only year is possible

Hello all,

Problem:
When coming to define a date filter, I need to select DATE granularity I get an error msg that says: "An illegal choice has been detected. Please contact the site administrator". Same for other options. Only a YEAR granularity is accepted by the system.
In the CCK field definitions I have selected DAY, MONTH, YEAR granularity.
What could be the problem?
