Firefox back button doesn't return user to anchor position

I have noticed a problem while using Firefox to browsing and researching on Drupal.org. The problem is when I am reading down a list of threaded comments I often click on a link and the new link will open in the current window. When I click back or rather mouse gesture back I am taken back to the very top of the previous thread and I must scroll down to where I left off. It should take me back to where I clicked the link. I have been looking for an answer to this without success. IE works fine but I do not like using IE for anything... But with this bug in Firefox, I have had no choice.

I think it may not have anything to do with Drupal. I will try to test it on another site. I don't really use any other sites in the same way, so I have only noticed it here.
