I have a situation where we need to add a lot of records in a table type situation. This includes editing in a spread sheet kind of situation. My client was using an excel Spread Sheet, and I used Node-import to get it into the system via a CVS file. But its over my clients head. So, Is there a spread sheet style interface for drupal?

Yes, I think you can use sheetnode:

Besides, I think there are more modules that can provide spreadsheets interfaces for reporting and for some developer's tools.

yep... I know about this...
but it requires installing a lot of Java stuff... the a JRE... tomcat... and I would like to avoid that if I can. I am running on a VPS with hostgator, its a new system for me, and I don't know Java admin that well. Hostgator is saying that they will not support these items if I have them install it.

but thanks for responding.. If someone has some experience installing the Java requirements on a CentOS server, and can tell me if I should bother, I would appreciate that.
any other suggestions?

Your hosting company will not support that but since you require help for working on your server, I have sent you a direct message.
