Hi, I've create a Drupal showcase post titled Healing Thresholds redesign in Drupal 6 with GeoIP-enabled directory that I request be promoted to the front page. I've scheduled it for January 4th, but any date in the next month is fine. I've separately put in a request for the 2 images to be enabled on the post.
I think this post deserves to be promoted because it illustrates the challenges and opportunities in a major site redesign, and some of the modules that may enable sites to achieve their goals. The redesign has been a massive project for our team, we're proud of what we've accomplished, and we'd also be grateful for feedback.
Thanks in advance for your consideration.

Michsk commentedfree publicitie doesn't come easy. But don't spam forums with requests.

dankohn commentedSorry, I didn't think I was spamming anything. I was just trying to follow the steps laid out. I posted two requests, one for image inclusion and one for front page promotion, because that's what I thought I was supposed to do.

silverwing commentedAfter I read comment #1 I looked through your tracker and there were a couple issue comments you made that you listed your site that seemed more like self promotion.
The images should be on this issue and not in the documentation issue - if you could add it here, that would be helpful.
If you haven't added this issue to the front page schedule line yet, could you do so.
silverwing commentedDisregard the images in #3 - I got it.
I didn't change the input format so you can still edit the page

Guys, I appreciate that being promoted to the front page is a big privilege and that you're justifiably trying to avoid blatantly self-promoters. And I do apologize if I went about my request incorrectly.
But I don't at all agree with this characterization of my tracker. I've been developing our site intensive for the last several months and during that time have filed over a dozen bug reports across a dozen different modules. I'm not much of a module developer, but I am a good tester and I have engaged directly with the module developers in each case to help resolve issues.
Looking back, one of the only posts I made that even referenced my site URL was this one, which was a reply to this post, explaining that version "6.x-2.0-unstable5" of xmlsitemap was working great on a real site, while the "production" version of the module brought my server down.
I'm grateful for what Drupal provides, and I think my record through the tracker shows that I've taken my engagement with the community seriously.
Separately, silverwing, thanks for updating my post to use drupal.org images. I've already added the post to the front page schedule (but I understand there's nothing binding about that).

silverwing commented-1 as it's written.
Honestly, when you compare this write-up to some of the other promoted Showcase posts, it just doesn't stack up to them. This post is hard to read and follow. Consider looking at some of the promoted showcase posts to see how others have made their write-ups look nice - usually by h2-ing some sections.
Basically, you have a lot of information there, it's just bunched up together making it hard to read.
(If want to make edits but can't, let us know and we'll change the input filter so you can.)

gdemetI'd also like this post to include some non-technical content about the history of the site, the decision to use Drupal, and how it contributed to the success of the site. I wasn't clear from reading the case study whether this redesign was a migration to Drupal from another CMS, or whether it was an upgrade from a previous version of Drupal.
On the technical side, I'd like to hear more about the theme design and development process and the e-mail newsletter functionality.
dankohn commentedI've made substantial rewrites based on the comments from silverwing and gdemet.
gdemet, I removed the mention of the email newsletter because we're using Constant Contact, a hosted email service provider, rather than anything Drupal-based.
Please let me know if there are additional changes you'd like to see. Thanks again for your consideration.

dankohn commentedI should mention that I also retitled the postto highlight two of the unique aspects: Autism therapy site with autotagging and GeoIP-enabled directory.
gdemetI've made a couple of language edits, optimized the screenshot, and turned on Full HTML. Any other site maintainers want to weigh in on this one?
