When I try to set up Drupal it totaly goes on white screen. What I did try is to get, download, a whole lot of modules to get one simple mp3 playing. That takes day's instead of 7 minutes?

Those tutorials sometimes are missing crucial explanation about how to set it up the CMS website. Then I see that mimedetect is missing. When I install this module it totaly freaks the system?

So Drupal is a very bugy CMS witch I won't advise to anybody. It is just another blogscript?

Please calm down. If you need help with a problem, just ask for it (after checking the Troubleshooting FAQ).

This is realy not something to be calm about. Hundreds of white screens, refering to the FAQ, is not a good forecast to stay calm about.

Even if you are not calm, I hope your parents raised you well and introduced the concept of "politeness" during your upbringing. Instead of acting like a little child, you could have formulated your question as follows:

After installing module mimedetect, I get a whitescreen when accessing the site. What should I do?

And somebody might have answered:

Check the php error log to see if your server's memory limit is to low. You can raise the limit by changing the value in PHP.ini. Make sure to restart the server.

Unless of course, you are not interested in a solution at all. In that case, please go use some other CMS.

It is concerning how the Drupal files shake my, is that what I read between the lines, server. Do I need to make a telephone call to the webserver company? Because my normal html website is still up. The big issue is that there is nothing to do about, at least there is still no solloution. Just a comment. Otherwise this forum won't be so angry about reading this this kind of problems. Yes, it is very frustrating, setting this up and there is really nothing to do about.

There is a big doubt about this system. Yes!

A WSOD is usually caused by some error (be it exceeding a memory limit, a programming error or something else).

If you can get access to the webserver's error logs, that would help immensely to determine and then solve the cause of the WSOD.

Is there a problem with some critic to?

Nobody takes offense with the issue you experience. Many people ran into a WSOD, many were helped here either by the FAQ or by somebody on the forum.

Criticism is fine, peeing over the carpet is not.
