i have a fish-site and want to use hierarchical select, because it would be perfect for it, but i have a special case ...

fish could be defined in 4 ways as

genus > species OR
genus > species > population OR
genus > species > subspecies OR
genus > species > subspecies > population

you see genus > species > population is the problem ... it should be genus > species > [empty] > population, so that the correct terms are in the correct level

would be great if someone could help :)

i saw that you can add " " (spaces) with taxonomy manager ... i will test if that would work for this case :)

This is not a HS question, but a Taxonomy question.

I wouldn't choose " ", but rather something like "". More explicit and therefore more clear.
