At some point it would be good to see support for CCK fields. This would take the form of the module:

1. Checking all possible CCK fields for this node's content type
2. Cycling through each one and translating any available content

I'm looking for a similar solution. found this http://drupal.org/node/707874 and am seeing if that will provide a workaround.
