I was wondering if it is possible to search for a term by the translated name with Autocomplete and get the same results.

Example: term id 1; name is "Tokyo" and translated to "東京" in Japanese.

I would like to type "Tokyo" or "東京" into the views exposed filter autocomplete box, search, and pull up all nodes with term id 1.
Is this currently possible or in the pipeline with views 3?

Thanks very much in advance.

Forgot to mention that if I search for "東京" when the site is set to language "Japanese" I get..(in red)
Unable to find term: 東京

English page: http://www.example.com/search
Japanese page: http://www.example.com/ja/search

Views just uses the core taxonomy autocomplete. I would think i18ntaxonomy module would do that.

Should taxonomy autocomplete show the term (translationed) when I am viewing my site in French/German or another language? Right now I can only see English no matter what language is set on the site..am I missing a setup or is this currently not possible in Drupal?

Additional information:

I language setting for the taxonomy vocabulary is set to:
Localize terms Terms are common for all languages but their name and description may be localized.

Can anyone help out with this issue? Thank you!

Subscribing. Yes I've got the same problem. It's a real struggle building a multilingual site in drupal. Has anybody got a hint if this is possible or where to investigate? Thanks in advice.
