Hi,

I noticed that none of the D6.x releases has the template file (simplenews_template.tpl.php) included. Is there a way to theme my newsletters now? And I mean really theme it properly with a template file because now all the theming options are parts spread out all over the place.

Cheers,
Danny

Actually after a few hours trying to set up an email newsletter, I still don't get what this module does. The header, footer and css can be configured with the Htmlmail-module as well.

And I didn't see the extra tab appear that is visible on this project's screenshot.

This complaint was already posted here:
#641678: theme_simplenews_template_mail() function not being called.
see comment #3 for an example use.

Also be sure to read the documentation: http://drupal.org/node/130263

Correction. This is a duplicate of another older post, but that thread has changed to another topic.
#641678: theme_simplenews_template_mail() function not being called.

Reset to an active request. There is still no simplenews.tpl.php.

Ditto all of the above. Not sure if the documentation is current. I do not have a settings option under newsletters.

Will try again on the next release.

Could someone please show me how to create a 2-column body using SImplenews Template? I really think this is an awesome module, but can't seem to figure this out.

I ask this here because I have no simplenews_template.tpl.php file, and the documentation which states, "In the 6.x beta branch theming is done by overriding theme_simplenews_template_content and theme_simplenews_template_mail (see simplenews_template.module for examples)", yet I am unable to figure this out after a bit of work today.

Can anyone add to this? I too am confused with the documentation, I'm trying to create a custom template for an individual newsletter and struggling as I can't seem to get an individual theme override. I am perhaps not creating/naming the function correctly in template.php but struggling to find guidance in the documentation :(
