Congratulation on your new module!
I find the timing excellent because I was precisely looking for a footnote module today!

I did a quick test, and using the "FuLL HTML" input format, the link to the footnote is not created, just the number is upper-script and the footnote itself, but not the link.

Unbeliavable, yet true... Yep, it seems I didn't quite finalize the HTML version, since I only use the Textile filter myself.

I'm now about to commit a version where there are indeed links.
