I posted earlier about the need for a userfriendly way to submit standardized info, and CCK was suggested.

Naturally, to make it the most userfriendly, I want to have detailed, clear help.

I have the quicktags module enabled so I can insert tags quickly, however, when I tried to create a node from a custom CCK content type, I noticed that every text area did not have the help text underneath, even though it was on all the other fields. Disabling quicktags brought the help text back.

I have nooooooooo idea what's going on. :(

I would not be surprised to find out that your problem with cck and quicktags is caused by the same bug that is giving me problems with quicktags and img_assist

hopefully someone will find the time to address this bug soon

That's not good...

I really wanted quicktags specifically for those fields.

Though maybe I can get around it by writing more on the help page.

I will be looking at the quicktags module this weekend to see if I can find a fix. i'll post any update to the quicktags issue at http://drupal.org/node/68039
