ok I have things working close to what I want - except anonymous users can't create a ticket. which is very important for what I need.
here is the issue...
anon user clicks create ticket can enter all info as needed
click submit and "Page Not Found" appears
The Client gets an email with a link to a ticket, with correct ID number but no title in the email - and the link loads a Page Not Found error.
Anon has create ticket privs.

Madapple commentedwell crap... this was an extremly important aspect of this... not having to require customers to create accounts to submit a ticket.
though if there is no way around that I can live with it I suppose. This does create a very workable system
