It must be great to have an option to use modal window (for example by using Modal Frame API module)

I actually can't even get it working with their own examples here - the modal dialog opens, but then the page redirects and loads in the full window instead of the modal dialog anyway. There's also not an easy way to do it in the context of how Forward works either since you have to insert code on the page calling the link. Going to pass on this one for now.

I've created a module for this feature, and it works nice.
What do you think? Would you use it as a submodule or should I create a patch or it has to be a separated module?

Here is the above zip file as a patch file, included as a sub-module.

This works for me.

I couldn't get this patch working in recent versions. I'm heading for Shadowbox instead.
