This month we'll be focusing on how to use the CCK module (Content Construction Kit), a quick demonstration of the Legal module, and for developers an introduction to Drupal's new forms API.

[6:45 - 9:00] Demonstrations (upstairs)

[9:00 - late] Freeform discussion (basement bar/ground floor cafe)*

* We'll probably move to the small pub next door, which has some outside tables.

* If you come for the demonstration you're encouraged to buy a card at the ground floor counter so you can use one of the computers upstairs (£1 = 1/2 hour).

We want to have a bit of something for everyone, so for users we showcase a few modules and features, and for developers we give an introduction to some aspect of coding for Drupal and point them to resources for taking it further.

The only problem is that I live in Norway. Is there a way we could do something simular peer-to-peer sometimes? I may provide with server. Also i did use a software once to attend to a online conference. It was: VOIP, text-chat and live-kinda like powerpoint presentation. The whole shoobang at once :)

Robert, please contact me if you think this could be a good idea(or anyone else for that matter).

What software did you use for your online conference? Was there a cost or was it free? How many folks could join in? How was the overall quality?

I've listened to some recorded online conferences and it seems to be hit or miss - sometimes they're easy to hear the speaker but sometimes there's too much static and/or background noise where you just decide the quality isn't worth listening to. For example, the First world-wide Drupal Developer TeleConference was very difficult to listen to as described here, and I'm not sure if it was a Skype conference call shortcoming or what. Here's the podcast.

I dont remember the name of this software as I speak, but it worked fine. Can't remember we had any problems during the 1 hour conference. It was about 20-30 ppl i think.

I'll get back to this, with the name of the software.

Thanks, Robert, for letting me know that there is someone else from Cambridge going to your event. I don't think I would make it to this upcoming one, a friend has a birthday party this weekend, but I sure would love to join one in the near future. I trust these are regular?

simonc: It looks promising. And I can imagine that you've used CCK since you have some theming issue there. The links floats above the product images. What seems to be the problem with theming a CCK node? Haven't figured it out my self yet..

I've just picked up on this Drupal thing and it might answer many questions I have about reimplementing our work websites. (and by 'just' I mean yesterday!).

Maybe someone there might be interested in some consulting?

"Be The Reds" - is that where there used to be a café called Cyberia many years ago, when I lived just round the corner?

Yes, BTR used to be Cyberia until it was bought by a Korean chain a few years ago. Hence the unfeasably late opening hours downstairs and the exotic beer snacks.
