Hi, I'd like to contribute a Spanish translation for this module, but this is my first Drupal contribution, so I will ned some help.

I more or less know how to translate (http://www.zwahlendesign.ch/en/node/248) and have read some translation related issues (http://drupal.org/node/357423, http://drupal.org/node/685660).

But, should I wait for a beta branch to be released? Anything I should be aware of?

If you provide your translation now, you might have to update/review it several times when Node Gallery is updated because there is no "string freeze".
