Hi guys,

I am helping out someone design a website and since I developed one already with Drupal, i'm betting Drupal can do this one as well. Here is what the site should have:

-A Gallery with a block on the homepage of random photos..preferably not a static block.
-An events calendar and a block on the homepage showing upcoming events and the time
-A podcast section (resolved already I know what to use).
-Translations...The site should have the ability to display some punjabi (Gurmukhi) writings/letters.

Hope you can help and point me in the right direction. I have tried lots of modules that I'm confused and clueless now :) I now want to start from scratch.

You'll want to check out the i18n module. Also, there's an entire multilingual category in the modules area-- I would browse it to see what else is available.
