Image Title and Alt fields with Taxonomy i18n-term do not switch language

Am using Taxonomy vocabularies with Localize Terms option.
For SEO purpose, images are configured with ImageField Tokens module using the i18n-term token to fill up the Title and Alt fields.
The i18n-term token works just fine and get correctly translated with the language used to create the first instance of the content (let's say en, but can be any).
When a node is translated via the edit form (e.g. en/node/30/translate) the image Title and Alt text are initialized with the language previously in use, so the tokens are not expanded in the second language.
The fields can be manually corrected and properly translated, but it would be better if the fields get properly instantiated for the translation form starting from the original default setting, which eventually includes some i18n-term token.
