I want to get Ideatorrent functionality into Drupal and am thinking that when I actually piece everything together then I should just make a installation profile. However, I don't even know where to start. I would love feedback or ideas on how to emulate the functionality of Ideatorrent. Nicolas planned for a more Drupal-like port (2.0 release) but that is on hold right now due to the large time investment it will take to do so. He welcomes more project maintainers (help). I am not a programmer so I think it will be easier for me to just assemble the modular functionality into a "recipe".

I am thinking of something like the "Do it with Drupal" conferences where they build Craigslist and Etsy clones.

I will post my findings here and hopefully, ultimately, have a installation profile other people can use as well.
