Just a heads up for all Drupal dimdim users, I cannot seem to get the module to work. I keep getting the error "Unable to schedule Dimdim meeting" which as referenced here http://drupal.org/node/647900 is decribed as a connection issue with dimdim.

I have been trying to find more information from dimdim.com, however all their API integration documentation is currently offline.

I emailed dimdim support to ask why their support documentation is not available and they advised the following:

"The APIs have changed significantly and in case you are using the 5.1 APIs to integrate your portal with Dimdim, you may need to rewrite parts of the integration. We are drafting the new API and will let you know as soon as its completed"

Has anyone else setup a new installation that works recently?

Thanks univate. How long have you been running this? And do you remember if you just used the default host name settings etc?

I confirm the problem with new dimdim API: "Room already in use" for new meetings - both for old dimdim account and for new one.
And yes, it's API has been changed significally - I have exploring dimdim interface on its website a little bit: the host name and port are substituted by "Room URL", its form actions are also changed. I suppose JSON data content was also changed.
But I think it's possible to start adopting this plugin without waiting for new API issue. So, matsta - if you agree, please take me know - I want to help you restore your plugin functionality ASAP. (I really need it for my work ;)).

Was just setting up a new account and noticed that on the dimdim account type features comparison page, it shows that the API is only available with paid accounts, not the free accounts. I think this may have been a change since the new version came out a few weeks ago.

That might be why everything still working fine for me.

Also there is a setting/option in this module to log the messages being sent between drupal and dimdim - so you can track down whats happen.

I have also had a bit of a look at the new API (V5.5) and its completely different to the 5.0 API. It also seems that the old API is not working with new accounts...

I have started work on a new version for the 5.5 API, should have something to post in the coming days.

I have committed an update to use the 5.5 API

It is a bit of a mess, as I had to rush to get this upgraded for a client - but it seems to be working to:
* schedule meeting
* start scheduled meeting
* join meeting

bennos’s picture

then the module is not anymore compatible with the opensource Version 4.5. Right?

I never tested the 5.1 API on the opensource 4.5 version, so have no idea?

@univate
I'm having a look to the module for my customer, but I'm not able to use and configure it. I put my user name and password in the conf page but when I click on "Go to dimdim account" I have an error page (https://my.dimdim.com/redirect?authToken=&p=/dashboard/jetkicom/) with this text: "Invalid Operation".

I have to modify the code with the latest API?

Thank you very much!
