A weird Bug:

Mailhandler is hanging on cron runs when the letter (with an attachment) comes from Yahoo Mail. When coming from a straight mail program (in this case, apple mail) it processes messages and attachments just fine.

Here is the header from the ALLOWED email

<RECEIVINGADDRESS@receivingsite.org>

And here it is from the one that causes the hang:

Does anyone know why this would be happening? Is there any reason this would be caused by the longer headers message encoding stuff?

Seems to hang on both plain and styled text, but continuing to test that.

Ideas?

OK

The problem is, I think, that Yahoo seemingly encodes all the text on a styled message; so one has to make sure to get the text from the Mime-encoded html.

Seems like this would be an easy fix with some statement that "if no content then add "no content" into the node body.

1) set the Mime Preference to get text from the HTML, not the text.

2) use POP (not sure this is critical, but it seems to fix my probs).

hope this helps someone.

Would it be possible to re-test with the latest D6 version Mailhandler D6.11 or higher stable if it is still not working with your yahoo email.

The bug description is very clear, however, regenerating an email message for retesting in the exact same way is problematic.

If still the problem persists send me a private message, then I'll give you and email address where you can send the "breaking" yahoo email to, that way can test and debug the issue.
