Contributions to Drupal:

Peanutlabsmedia Module :

This module provides a way to integrate with Peanutlabsmedia. The Peanut Labs Media Monetization Platform is designed specifically to work with virtual currencies and goods in the new digital economy - be they social applications on Facebook, Myspace or Linkedin, or leading Games and Gaming communities.

We are planning to contribute many modules that we developed in the coming next days. You can find the list of modules that we are planning to contribute in the below note and attached presentation.

Birthday – Integrates with Drupal node service and organic groups to display birthdays/anniversaries of friends/acquaintances to the concerned user. This feature is a replica of the same feature on Facebook for Drupal.
Betting – This module allows creation of bets on a Drupal site. A user can bet a certain amount of userpoints which are earned through various activities on the website.
Autogroup – This module allows auto creation of groups associated with a particular node. For example, if we create a cck type corresponding to a celebrity, then a group (possibly denoting a fan club) can be automatically associated with each celebrity cck node using this module.
Twitter Integration – Aggregates tweets from Twitter for specific keywords. These keywords can be mapped to nodes so that the tweets become associated to a node.
Movie History – Allows a user to capture his movie history and share it with friends, This can be extended to record any kind of user information. The associated movie search is integrated with IMDB.
Jobs/Classifieds- Creates a classified and job portal setup for Drupal.
Alertpay Payment Gateway - Integrates this payment gateway with the Ubercart e-commerce solution
RUCeleb – This module allows a user to claim ownership of a node or a page in Drupal. S/he can apply for ownership, and once approved by an administrator, s/he is the owner of that node.

Drupal Community Interactions :

* DrupalCon, SF – Bronze Sponsor in the upcoming Drupal Conference in San Francisco in April 2010
* Drupal Sprint, India – m3Serve – A Multimodal Media Delivery and Content Management Platform
* Drupal Camp, India – Syncing Databases in Drupal – Migraine
* Drupal Camp, SF – iLoveBolly Drupal Case Study
* Drupal Association -- Organisation Memeber
* Drupal Channels on Internet Chat Relay - IRC

Hi George,

Just noticed you replied last week. Not sure if there was meant to be a body to the text or if there were any action items for us.

Any help you can provide towards getting us listed here will be deeply appreciated. We already delivered training at the last DrupalCon in SF in April. You can read about this at:
http://sf2010.drupal.org/conference/pre-conference-trainings/intro-modul...

I'm based in the SF Bay Area and am available to talk any time should you or Drupal.org need additional information.

Cheers,
Sunit.

I'm giving this a +1.

I just don't see a lot of community contributions. While you've created a module and provided training session (which is a huge plus) I have to weigh it against an slim tracker.

Also, what you've written above has a lot of what your're going to do, which doesn't mean a lot until it actually gets done.

Actually, I'll change mine to a -1: I didn't notice that the modules weren't hosted here on d.o., which is a big red flag, in my book.

Hi David, Alex,

Thank you for your feedback. Just wanted to add a couple of things to the portfolio Sunit had posted:

1. I maintain the Mailalias Module (http://drupal.org/project/mailalias) and have contributed to the Unwrap module (http://drupal.org/project/unwrap) among others.
2. I've been working with Drupal for over 3 years, and I've spent quite a bit of it, on the DO forums and the IRC (gauravkumar) helping people out and learning (obviously).
3. We're passionate about Drupal and what we do, and have grabbed every opportunity possible to talk about it, promote it and get others involved (Please take a look at http://drupal.org/user/273423, Training Experience)
4. The Modules that Sunit had mentioned, are not POCs and although they are not available on DO we are in the process of moving them here.
4. And yes, I work for Blisstering Solutions, have done so for 3 years and am proud of what we have done with and for Drupal. Having said that a lot remains to be done, and that is our highest priority today.

Do you let me know if you have any more questions. Once again, I appreciate your candid response (which has not fallen on deaf ears) :)

@gauravkumar87- I saw blisstering release a module this morning- Thanks!!! I'm really glad to see that this issue had a positive effect on your company's contributions on d.o. I'm going to leave this as "needs work" for now, until you have time to release a few more of the modules you've developed on d.o., but you are surely on your way to being listed.

Thanks again (made my day)!

sunitgala’s picture

Thanks, Alex. Yes, we did need that extra kick in the pants :-).

It will take us a few more weeks (hopefully less) to get all those modules in shape for submission because a lot of them need more work in terms of making them generic enough to be meaningful. Right now, they're a little too specific since they were written with customer apps in mind.

Thanks, Alex :)

Cheers,
Gaurav

Hi Sunit,

silverwing and I did a quick review right now. While we do see and appreciate your module contributions to the project, we can't seem to find any up-to-date information about your trainings.

Looking at http://www.opencomputinginstitute.com/:
- schedule is empty
- forum is empty
- latest blog post is from 2009 and no post mentions any past training you held
- Courses page does not mention Drupal at all
- the only mention about Drupal trainings we were able to find is http://www.opencomputinginstitute.com/drupal and the date is 2010

Your updated profile http://drupal.org/node/1668646 has no word about trainings as well.

As it stands now, I don't think we can add you to the Trainings directory.
