The module is supposed to create compatibility between WYSIWYG and the GeSHi Filter for syntax highlighting module by adding some user-selectable buttons.
But here's a deal breaker: per #727782: Selecting new buttons should modify, not replace, default buttons, if a user selects these new buttons, then all of CKEditor's default buttons disappear, and there's no sensible way of getting them back.
So I want to make sure: is there any way to add buttons to CKEditor with a plugin but not utterly destroy the default, nice button set?
This is documented as #727710: When enabling this plugin's buttons, all standard CKEditor buttons disappear in the WYSIWYG - GeSHi bridge's queue.
If the answer is the same as what's in #727782: Selecting new buttons should modify, not replace, default buttons--unclear if it will ever be supported--then I may have to make WYSIWYG - GeSHi bridge module work with the CKEditor - WYSIWYG HTML editor module instead, which means I am eating crow given my campaigning for WYSIWYG at #606404: Please abandon CKEditor - WYSIWYG HTML editor module.
If WYSIWYG doesn't have a clear path to do this right--i.e., adding buttons don't destroy default tool bars--is WYSIWYG really able to be a one-stop-shop for all WYSIWYG needs?
