Hi there,
I love simplenews as it is exactly what I need, but I encountered that emails sent with simplenews are not really readable in hotmail with french accents (é, à, è, etc...)
They show some unreadable and messy code instead... I don't think the problem is in my setup cause regular mails from the site are sent and readable fine, even in hotmail...
Note that this problem happens only in hotmail, and not other clients... and only with IE (and hotmail) as well..
Any ideas how to solve this??
Thanks!

z.stolar commentedI think the same goes for all non-english languages. I had to edit the activeMail file in order for it to show hebrew as well, and still - it's not perfect, since I HAVE to send a full html document (including the etc.), so I can put the encoding inside, and have it sent correctly. This, of course, makes sending mails a bit of a pain, but when no better solution is around... c'est la vie, no?
I work with 4.6 still, but I believe that for all that concerns the internationalization of simplenews, things are still the same, no? I'd love to know I'm wrong!

patchak commentedCould you give me some more details about the changes you made so that the accents and special characters work fine on your site? I'm not sure I get what you mean in your last message!! Thanks for the help!
