option to delete chat logs

Currently, chatrooms are nodes and the chats within them operate outside the normal Drupal mechanisms. The plan is for chatrooms to become taxonomy containers (like forums) and chats to become nodes (like forum topics). Once this happens, chats can be deleted like any other node type.

sorry to sidetrack this issue but from where can I access the logs? I enabled them (from the checkbox at the add/edit form) but I didn't see them anywhere.

after experimenting with phpfreechat (which I liked a lot initially) and then experiencing problems with it, I just tested this module and its performance was solid. reading through the issues, future plans seem like very promising. I especially like the idea of having a forum like structure for chatrooms (as a special category) and chats (as nodes). thanks everyone involved.

When you close a chat it will be shown in the list of chats as and archived chat. You close chats by editing the chatroom and checking the box beside each chat you would like to close.

Check this box if you would like chats to be automatically archived when all users leave

I guess this would be a better one:

Check this box if you would like chats to be automatically archived when it is closed

A further clarification is needed: each chatroom has a check-box to automatically archive chats it contains when all users leave. In addition to this, each chat has a check-box to manually archive it.

For now, delete the chatroom. Look at the our group page if you would like to help write the next version.
