Description

I have installed the July 19 cvs version release of agg2 on Drupal 4.7.2.

Running MySQL 5 with PHP 4.4.2

I'm having problems aggregating many feeds.

One of the few feeds that I have tried that has worked successfully, consistantly is Slashdot. Which appears to aggregate and generate taxonomy terms successfully using the autotaxonomy mini module.

I have tried several of the feeds listed on http://drupal.org/planet

As most of these site are running drupal, I felt it would offer a more controlled test environment.

The first several feed are not imported at all, some give this error when importing:

Failed to download RSS feed Boerland: 412 HTTP/1.1 412 Precondition Failed.

I tried these feeds, all are not being aggregated successfully.

http://daemon.co.za/taxonomy/term/2/0/feed

http://www.webschuur.com/taxonomy/term/35/2/feed

http://willy.boerland.com/myblog/taxonomy/term/60/0/feed

http://bryght.com/tags/drupal/feed

I have noticed that there are a few pending patches in the issues queue.

Unsure if applying some of these patches may solve problems I'm having, planning on investigating further and applying patches on a test install when I have a chance.

Was wondering if others using agg2 could test out the above feeds to see if they work on their installs and give some feedback.

Thanks

i can confirm that the bryght feed doesn't work. i don't see an error but after updating the feed, there are 0 items. if i go to the feed's url, there are items in the raw xml.

i'm using 1.43 2006/07/20 10:52:04 with a patch or two.
