Note that Matt (mfer) is also working on this at http://drupal.org/project/nivo_slider . He is the developer of 'Views Carousel' and 'Views Rotator'.

i make it work via custom tpl and views... very nice, but it overloads my cpu (dual core 2.53 to 48%).
