Available commands block

i'd like to provide to users a cheat sheet of what commands are available to them. i propose a block which lists these commands and some title tips with further explanation - me|away|msg|back|kick|close|ban. if you click an item in the block, it will prefill the chat input box with text like /msg [username] [txt]. then i'm hoping that a user will realize that he has to complete the needed fields and then press Submit. I guess we could add a help div above the input box for some helpful text in this situation.

anyone else have ideas about how to communicate this? we would only show admin commands to admins (of course).
