This release of Nivo Slider focuses on bug fixes, including:

• Fixed the link to image styles on the configuration page if your Drupal installation is in a subdirectory. #1421970: fix link to image styles
• Fixed Nivo Slider not loading in a number of situations. #1433014: not loading in panels

If you have had issues with Nivo Slider not working in a certain situation, such as with a specific theme or when used with a module such as Panels, please try again after upgrading to this release.

The first stable release of Nivo Slider.

With the help of the community and through a number of beta releases, Nivo Slider has reached a point where all major bugs should be solved, the module passes coder review and all of the features provided by the Nivo Slider jQuery plugin are exposed through the module's configuration interface.

New in 1.x.

Features:

• Added support for custom transitions per slide.

Improvements:

• Slide previews (on the slide configuration page) are now generated using the same image style used to generate the actual slides.

Bug fixes:

• Removed unnecessary module dependencies.
• Made the Nivo Slider jQuery selector less specific.
• Uninstalling the module now deletes banner images.

Release notes

Nivo Slider Beta 3 fixes an issue where the slider would not load or load inconsistently when block caching was enabled. Beta 3 also bring Nivo Slider closer to feature parity with all of the options available through the Nivo Slider jQuery plugin.

New features:

• Added div with ribbon class to slider wrapper template. The ribbons provided by the default themes should now display correctly.
• Added image thumbnail control navigation. You can now use images in place to numbered control navigation. Thumbnail dimensions can be specified using Drupal image styles. Please note that, per the jQuery Nivo Slider's implementation, thumbnail navigation images are hidden by default and will only be shown when using a theme that supports thumbnail based navigation (or if you write your own custom CSS to unhide them).
• Improved options page UI text. This should help outline what each slider option is used for and how to change the slider's image dimensions or apply filters to the slider images.
• Small code improvements (the slider block code can be more easily modified as it now uses a renderable array and the slider now has some automatic width/height detection and CSS to help hide slides which have not yet been downloaded.

Release notes

The Nivo Slider module is now a stand-alone solution for creating a simple slideshow for your website.

The module provides a block which displays a Nivo Slider powered slideshow. All of the options provided by Nivo Slider, such as transition type and animation length are user-configurable through an administration interface. Slide images can also be resized or styled using the Drupal image system.

This is the first beta release of Nivo Slider for Drupal 7.x.
