Hello,

we are running a development server (Ubuntu, Apache2, PHP, MySQL) with multiple Drupal sites. I noticed yesterday that the server did not respond and I could barely connect to the server over SSH. The memory was full of Apache processes. After I managed to stop Apache the server worked fine again.

However when I tried to reach the site I am currently working on the server again the server was blocked by too many Apache processes. When I called other sites residing on the server everything was fine. I cannot think of any possible reasons for that. Could it be possible that the database or the site itself was hacked? Anyone has any suggestion on how or where I could search for the reason for this?

Thanks in advance

I found the reason and the solution for it. It really had nothing to do with the server itself but it should be interesting for everyone using the module Taxonomy Image: http://drupal.org/node/635368
