Make a subtheme

Hi,

what is the best way to make a subtheme from earthen? I made a subfolder and copied the following files:
- /images
- logo.png
- screenshot.png
- all js and css files
- a copy of earthen.info with a new name
- page.tpl.php

It works, but i don't know if all functions works.
