Content Types cannot be activated

Question is though, why forum topic and Comment would not register as they are Drupal core.

Okay,

Turning automated titles otion in a node off did not change anything.

A new Content Type created allowed me to activate it.
Adding automated node titles - then deactivating and reactivating worked fine.

What to do with the old Content Type?
1. Exporting and reimporting them would be risky as the ndes could be lost or screwed up.
2. It might not work anyway.

Okay another option - old Content Type - I inserted the default string via http://www.example.com/devel/variable?destination=admin - it appeared in the variables and in LinkedIn settings - http://www.example.com/admin/settings/linkedin. The line was duely added to MySQL - Table: variable. So, in http://www.example.com/admin/settings/linkedin I checked the box to activate it.
After saving the default string disappeared and the line was removed from the MySQL table as well.
I have 13 Content Types in the table such as

linkedin_default_format_faq  	s:31:"Posted "!title" on !site : !url";
linkedin_default_format_general 	s:31:"Posted "!title" on !site : !url";
linkedin_default_format_poll  	s:31:"Posted "!title" on !site : !url";

For example the linkedin_default_format_poll as the default string but can also not be activated.
There are another 8 old Content Types that need to be included / activated for LinkedIn.

Not sure what to do next?????? .....

I still have at least 8 (old) Content Types that need to be included / activated for LinkedIn.

And even new ones added after installing LinkedIn will not register and allow the module to post to LinkedIn.
Any chance of progressing this somehow - by me giving you more info in some form.

thanks for sharing this and I just tried it on one node and indeed that seems to be the problem.

I added an underscores between My_Content_Type_Name.

But it does not solve the problem and I would hope the LinkedIn module team - Pascal Morin and Greg Harvey - thanks for your work - I am sure with these fixes your module will really take off before too long.

If you could resolve this it would be great - because

Forum Topic and Blog Entry and some other Content Type names are coming with core and having to rename all of them is not so clever and doesn't look good either. Maybe the setting has to link in to the machine-readable name and not the displayed name.

I guess it is a small adjustment for those with the right skill - would be great if you could fix it !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I changed the Content Type name for Blog and Forum
Blog entry to Blog_entry and
Forum topic to Forum_topic

but the LinkedIn does not show up. May be it is connected - may be it is something else???
