I'm using the Nodeperm_role module with actions and workflow, and everything seems to be working fine between the three modules (despite some confusion in the install that seems to imply that it is not working).

What I'd like to do is create an editor/moderator for a type of node, but if the "administer nodes" right is not granted, a user can not edit someone else's node. I thought the permission here would trump that, but it does not. If the "administer nodes" permission is set, though, then the editor will be able to do this on many other nodes as well, and I don't want that.

Any ideas for a workaround or fix?

No ideas at hand. I will be getting back to the module in a week or so and will take a look at it then
