Hello
Is there any way that we can see where next DrupalCons are held?
It would be nice because we can plan our trip in advance.

The Europe Drupalcon 2011
It has been proposed that the Europe Drupalcon 2011 will be in London. See http://groups.drupal.org/node/49138. I'm not 100% clear if this has been ratified yet by the Drupal Association Board of Directors.

It makes the communication so much easier between us, when you have actually met the person online instead of only in IRC / mail /d.o. - we all know how easy it is to be offended online, by miscommunication etc. but if you have actually met that person IRL, then it makes it so much easier to remove those miscommunications.

You should consider an online-live streaming of this event. May be it will be very useful for people like me who would like to be a part of it but cannot attend.

many sessions in the past have been put on archive.org so oneone can learn from there. Streaming live isnt just expensive but would also -partly- canabalise ticketsales.

No we wont...
One of the keys in the drupal success is that we actually meet each other.
It makes the community come closer together, it gives newbees a chance they wont get anywhere else to learn directly from the people that wrote the code, and give feedback to make it better. It gives the "old" a good place to sit down and plan ahead.

The Drupalcon is the place that makes this community come together (off course along side with the ton of camps & DUGs thats going on all around the world).
Actually the conference is a great excuse to actually come out of the code basement, and meat the other drupal geeks that is around + now you have a great excuse to travel the world and see awesome city's :)
So no we will not consider it.
Without the Drupalcons we will make the Drupal project weaker, it will make communication worse, and then Drupal worse. (oooh and its loads of fun - kinda like 5 days non stop party ... but dont tell anyone ;)
...So get your Boss to send you to Copenhagen this summer I guaranty you that it will Rock!
We are though considering of doing a transmission of 1 of the Keynotes ;)
