I am a part time professor with a passion for travel. I started learning Drupal 2 weeks back after one of my student recommended me to try this software. Actually, four years back I created a travel blog which is in classic ASP but now I want to convert it into a more robust website with an advanced software like Drupal. I know conversion will be painful, but you got to do what you gotta do. I also want to create a membership site which allows people to register and contribute their own content, so moving over to a content management system for my travel blog is even more essential. Moreover I feel that it will relieve me of making constant software upgrades and security fixes because you guys take care of everything and I have to just replace files. I feel that this forum is incredibly useful. Wish me good luck for converting my existing travel website to Drupal, Given my tight schedule I think it will take me 3-5 months before any meaningful thing happens on it.

I would like to take ideas from other users and see what they are doing with this software. My favourite part of this forum is the showcase. once I convert my website to drupal fully, i will also place my website in showcase.
