After updating to imce 6.x-1.4 using IMCE results in the whole browser occupied by imce.
Nothing of the Website is there anymore (after klicking e.g. on the "file browser" tab but also on going to www.website.de/imce)
Even disabling of the CSS in the browser (or looking into the HTML of the site) shows, that the whole surrounding Website is gone when using IMCE. So IMCE is not placing itself in the content-area of the site anymore.
"Downgrading" to imce 6.x-1.3 (just deleting the imce 6.x-1.4 and uploading the imce 6.x-1.3 again) solves the problem, IMCE is sitting inside the content-area of the site again, surrounded by the site. That's how it should be. ;-)
This happens with several themes, "standalone" themes but also sub-themes.
This seems to be a major issue to me, because the user is totally lost after going to the IMCE when all links of the site (the whole site-surrounding) are gone and there is even no "back to your site"-link inside the IMCE-UI.
So stay with imce 6.x-1.3, to not scare the users.

Zig commentedI am having this issue too.
The main problem for my users are left with having to use the browsers back button to return to the site when they fire up IMCE from their "my account" pages.
While integration with the site theme would be ideal, maybe its possible to force the IMCE to open in a new smaller window from the user account "File Browser" screen. Like is does when integrated with CKEditor. Ill try and work out how to do that or Ill revert back to 1.3 for now.
Cheers

ufku commentedIMCE needs its own window for some reasons. You can safely upgrade to 6.x-2.x which uses an iframe embedded in the page.
