Rules and automatically posting comments

There is a patch for this here: http://drupal.org/node/376648#comment-2986170

I tried it out and works fine, except for a couple of issues which may be casetracker related, see here:

1. The posting of "Old Project" and "New Project" in the comment appears as raw html instead of the link as intended.

Project: <a href="/site/abc">ABC</a> » <a href="/site/node/2"></a>

2. I subsequently get a:

"warning: preg_match() expects parameter 2 to be string, array given in ....\includes\bootstrap.inc on line 777" 

after posting the comment via the rule. So the node always produces this error.
