At the moment this module does not allow secret votes. If it would its usecase would be significantly increased since it could then be used for electronic secret political elections (vote the president out of the given candidates).

IMO this feature would require the introduction of a new poll type - maybe called "Secret binary poll" since it must not store what each user has voted, but instead increment the sum of votings for the answer in question by one everytime somebody has voted for it. Once a secret poll has been started it cannot be changed to "unsecret" of course.

Anyone interested in that feature?

So I've spent some time today playing with Advanced Poll and permissions and such...

Shouldn't setting the Poll option 'Display results' to 'After voting has closed', along with 'view Individual votes' being disabled on that node accomplish this?
Since this is a node-type option, however... if you want both 'secret' and non-secret polls, you'd need to duplicate the mode include for that poll type...

Perhaps a more effective solution would be to make the 'Display results' option an 'administer polls' level overridable option, along the lines of the 'Show individual votes' option.
ie rename this to something like "Make 'Display results' option overridable at the node level" ?

This all probably means #546518: Results tab not displayed is related... though I'm not sure about that issue, as the results tab seems to be relatively working for me?

It would very useful to have the choice of only displaying the results only after the poll has closed. I guess you're talking about implementing it because I cannot see it yet in the node edit options.

Sorry, I now discovered that the option is set when editing the content type. Would you consider to make it possible to override this when editing an individual poll?

The roball quesiton is not addressed in these comments.

Any update on this?
The goal would be to allow people to vote secretly (as it is required in many decisions of democratic organizations) without allowing anyone to know who voted for whom/what - even the full privileged admin (like user password)
