Control relation when no 'allowed values'

Hi,

First, thanx a lot for this very usefull module.

I'd like to submit to you a case :
In trying your module, I have made 2 text areas whose first controlled the second.
But I saw I couldn't do what I wanted to do by this way.
I have deleted the allowed values of the first and created a third one to control the second, a select list.
But the second field didn't appear on my content display.
Why ? Because the "control relation" has been kept between the first and the second fields: when I deleted the allowed values, I haven't anymore the settings of the control on the second field by the first but the relation always existed.
To correct this, I had to add something on allowed values on the first field, delete the control in the second one, and then delete the allowed value added in the first one.

So, here is my question: why the control relation isn't automatically deleted when the allowed values of the controlled field are empty? Is there a reason? If not, it could be useful. It's a detail but it helps for the newbe ;)
