Vote for Drupal - Pakt Publishing Open Source CMS Award

robertDouglass - September 14, 2006 - 16:31

This is your chance to support Drupal by voting! Pakt publishing is running a competition for the best Open Source CMS, and Drupal is in the top 5 candidates. The final round of judging will be done by four judges, where the community vote is the fourth judge. That means it is time to head on over to the voting page and fill out the form to show that you choose Drupal above all others. The winning CMS will get US $5,000, the second will get US $3,000 and the third placed finalist will get US $2,000.

5000$?

Scale infrastructure

Dries - September 14, 2006 - 18:30

We could use the money to scale our infrastructure ... (if we continue to grow like this, we'll have to!).

Wow, Robert - excellent graphics!!! Your post looks very professional.

Thanks for posting this on the front page. I wish we could "stick" it there for the duration of the voting which ends on November 7. I know every vote counts towards Drupal winning the US $5,000 first place prize.

I wonder if:
(1) a poll asking Drupal users if they've voted (a simple "yes" or "no") could be created? I went to "create content" on the top right but my permissions only allow me to create posts for a book page, forum topic, and issue.

(2) we could stick the poll on the front page? It would motivate some folks to vote and then answer the poll in the affirmative.

Anyway, just a thought to help win the US $5,000.

Drupal has made posting content to the net simple and easy for over a year now, the least I can do is vote for this really wonderful CMS.

spjsche - September 15, 2006 - 22:41

Perhaps you should be a bit more humourous and less of a cynic, and state that you have augmented the vote.

I've used at least three of the other CMS nominees and, without question, my vote goes to Drupal!

Ditto! +1 little vote :-)

Another Vote for Drupal...

SemperFideles - September 18, 2006 - 01:20

I'd be nuts to vote for another CMS after all the work it took me to migrate two Scoop sites to Drupal. Part of me doesn't even want to consider there could be anything better.

Does Drupal support Hindi?

bavasu - September 18, 2006 - 02:20

Does Drupal support international languages like hindi?

It has support for translations

robertDouglass - September 18, 2006 - 14:38

It is another question whether your specific language is supported:
