Right now there are two pages (which I wrote, and apparently forgot the other existed *lol*) that talk about setting up a testing environment:

http://drupal.org/node/79237 talks about setting up a test environment for benchmarking
http://drupal.org//node/28245 talks about setting up a test environment for testing patches

These should be merged.

Additionally, the 1. 2. 3. 4. 5 links at the top should be "jump-to" links that skip you to the appropriate sections of the text.

Thanks to simplymenotu for helping tweak this. :D

Hm, well i think that these are fine as two separate pages - there doesn't seem to be a lot of overlap.

I agree both of these pages have a fair amount of exclusive information. There is also a lot of content on each page, making the combination of both possibly being very long. I would suggest to keep as is and close ticket.

really have to agree with zzolo and addi here - these pages are tailored to 2 different purposes, and each have a lot of content. i think they are just fine (great even) as separates. closing this.
