User Roles Missing

Im using Panels to load a view of Products in the front page.
When im logged as Admin, i can see everything but other users cant.

So i thought maybe the users didnt have the correct permissions but
when i look at the list of users and the 'Roles' column, its empty for all users.
When i edit a user, i cant assign roles either because the options are not there at all.
Is this normal because im using the Magento module ?
And more importantly how can a normal authenticated user see Product pages in the drupal site ?

using drupal acquia 6.15 and Magento 1.3.2.4
