The first thing I did when editing someone else's test node was accidentally delete the attachment. The "keep/remove" toggle might not be as intuitive as the developers think.
Perhaps an are you sure step for removing attachments might be wise?

adaddinsaneWell, the module is in use on a couple of large UK Govt websites currently - so it's not that bad.
Perhaps rather than an "Are you sure" we change the colour of the background to red (by default).

verta commentedThanks for the reply, I agree, a UI change might help. Maybe use a little more screen real estate for some subtext below the button, like "this attachment will be removed when you save this node" ...
I would think it should be a little harder to remove an attachment. A lot of modules use a check box with text like "do action X on submit," So it's clear what action you want and it's visually different from the "no action" state.
I guess my point is that a button with text looks a lot like another button with different text. You have to read the buttons, carefully, and most people scan instead of reading every word. If you're just scanning and you see an unchecked box, you might not bother reading it, you know you didn't check it and nothing is going to happen as a result. Maybe it's the use of a button that changes when clicked is not something I'm used to.
