This module appears to have some significant filesystem requirements.

What permissions are required on the modules directory? (775 does not appear to be sufficient.)
Is an FTP ID and password required? (No error message is returned if they are not provided, but I have not yet been able to successfully perform an install.)
What are the steps required to use the module to perform module updates? I don't see them specified anywhere, and have followed all documented directions.
