I know that vertical tabs is part of Drupal 7.x, but it is missing this module's feature of adding the default fields in a tab. Do you plan to support this?

crea commentedIt's very unlikely that I will use D7 in the near future (next months).

klonosI thought so. Just wanted to know your plans on this + I am sure if I didn't ask, someone else would.
...setting it to postponed then, so you can have it in your to-do list ;)
crea commentedIt won't be in my to-do lists, atleast not before I start using D7 for my own sites. But if someone liked to work on and co-maintain D7 branch, he would be welcome.

Ruyman commentedThere is no need to port this module to D7, as you can accomplish the same functionality with the cck module already included in drupal 7. To do so, simply create a new group in the field management page of your content type and select "vertical tabs group" for type. Then, arrange all fields to be inside this new group.

Ruyman commentedSorry, you need to select "vertical tab", not "vertical tabs group".

See the masquerade settings and contact settings, those can't be added to the display fields. Default tabs is meant as a catch all, and although not ideal, it is still useful.

klonos@crea: hey Andrey, did you start using d7 on a regular basis yet? Any plans (just an estimation - not a promise)?
crea commentedNope, and not planning yet
Comment #15
klonosOk, thanx for taking the time to reply. It's good to know where we stand.

ergophobe commentedAnimelion - your screenshot is dead. Can you upload one to the thread so it will be permanently attached to the thread.
I have Contact and Masquerade installed, but I don't have any settings on the node creation form.
For me, using the method described by Ruyman works just fine. Same as VT Default used to work. Right now, everything I have is in a VT.

bryancasler commentedergophobe, I'm going a different route now. I'm using Display Suite with the multipage option. On there you can set it to send all the extra elements to the last page.
