field settings form displaying incorrect values for Advanced select options

The field settings for an existing date field using the select list widget always displays "select list" for the days, months and years under "Advanced select options". If I select "text field" and save the field settings, the behavior of the field reflects the saved setting, but when I go back to the field settings form it still shows "select list" where it should show "text field".
