It’s a great pleasure to add a stable release of 6.2.x branch. There were a lot of hesitation and resistance from the community for discontinuing fix and enhancement in 1.x branch. That was a very hard decision for me. I wanted to give more than what was then. I thought of a CCK like interface with all the features of CCK. I wanted to make Contact form field independent of everything and which is why it’s not using token module.
New features
There are few new features introduce in this release. Now, admin can add fields using a CCK like interface but please note that this module doesn’t depends on CCK in any way. Admin can configure how the message will look like using the message template by adding fields to the message template area. As promised, using this release you can arrange the fields with drag and drop.
To do
There is still some work needed to provide more field options including theming the element and adding the field to personal contact form. Contact form fields is being enhanced every day to accommodate all features as listed on project page.
I request to community that keep using this module and raise the issues as they occur. You can get help in real time by posting in google wave for contact form field.
