no offense, but imho it would be better to put your work together with work on gallery assist module

to create definitely one good gallery module, not hundreds never finished half baked gallery modules.

Your module and gallery assist are imho similar in few things, gallery assist has more work done behind it, and I think it is more far away as gallerix, so just my idea is it could be nice if you can work together, developing then will be faster and various your nice ideas from gallerix could be added into gallery assist. Not sure what Gallerix will bring to drupal users, if it will be someday usable.

The way each project works is different and the choice of one or the other is yours. I never imposed you to use gallerix (or even test it.)

I would think that this module works to some extend since there are over 800 users.

There are a few problems to be fixed, however, I agree. And I guess that most of the users of such a module are not programmers so that doesn't help in the development. Now if you want to copy what you like in gallerix and submit patches to the gallery_assist authors, you are more than welcome! 8-)

There are reasons for choosing Gallerix over other systems which is why I think it needs to remain separate.
