Hi All!

Thought I should share an idea worth considering:

Practice mode of exercises - users/students can select from a set of criteria such as topic, level, question type (multichoice, matching, gapfilling etc), number of questions (10, 20, etc) before the questions are displayed.

I've been working on an implementation of this idea with the current quiz.module in addition to a matching.module and things are going quite well.

The version of Quiz from PHPEdu already does this. That version was upgraded from 4.7 without knowledge of our combined effort at d.o. We should learn from eachother and merge both modules. The maintainer of PHPEdu is aware of this now.

:) I believe dakala *is* the maintainer of the PHPEdu app. He was kind enough to forward me the sources of his quiz work some time back, and the stuff he has done is certainly pretty cool.

However, I did notice that some of his code (at that time) did 'assume' that the quiz portion was *part* of the larger PHPEdu framework, so that will have to be worked through if we do merge the projects. This was a few months back, so things may have changed since.

He did let me know he has released more complete versions, but I haven't had a chance to check them out yet.

Sorry guys, I've been quite busy recently. Definitely I'm for looking into ways of integrating efforts in developing Quiz modules.

This one is still worth considering! (I'm cleaning up the issue list)

I've been away again. How time flies! A lot has happened to Quiz module(s) over the months but I'm willing to take this one on if nobody minds.

This issue is now 5 years old, with the latest update 1 year ago (from the OP) and still nothing concrete. I suggest we close this one (following Falcon's initiative) and if anyone wants to work on this, to create a new issue.
