Just committed first shot at http://drupal.org/project/simple_donations. If it'd be a better sub-module of simple payments, I'd be happy to shoot it to you as a patch. I'd like to add some javascript form validation, and maybe down the road turn it into a proper CCK field so that donation amounts and the form itself could be configurable at the node level.
