I have been able to install Brilliant Gallery and upload a sample gallery using the limited documentation that is available. I can see my sample gallery under the ADMINISTER > SITE CONFIG > BRILLIANT GALLERY > MANAGE GALLERIES. That all works fine. What do I do next? I have tried navigating to /brilliant_gallery (and *many* iterations thereof - hours worth now) and the page comes up fine but the sample gallery is not listed there. How do I actually view it? I've also tried the [bg|path/to/your/gallery/folder/without/wrapping/slashes |columncountoverride|widthoverride|sortorrandomoverride|maximumnumbertoshow|colouroverride|beginfromoverride|caption-yes-no-text] tag to no avail (from the body of a story).
A simple step-by-step HOWTO would really prove helpful to this end.

dag- commentedI concur, I have been spending time and cannot find how exactly to use it for displaying Picasa webalbums. It's quite frustrating that there's no documentation and using submenu's rather than tabbed windows doesn't make it easier either :-(
So where do I configure and define Picasa webalbums ? Anyone ?

daviesap commentedCheck your input formats.
If suitable - change it to full HTML. It could be that your input format is stripping out the
etc. that Brilliant Gallery adds.
Hope this helps.

vacilando commentedThe instructions are always available at http://vacilando.net/bg -- just follow them and everything will be fine.
Don't forget to use the input format ( /admin/settings/filters ) that has the "Brilliant Gallery Tag" enabled.
For local images: Make a folder called e.g. "albums" in your /files directory and let BG know about it in the settings at /admin/settings/brilliant_gallery
Then make another folder inside your albums folder, e.g. "myimages". ň
To display it, just go to any textarea (body of a page, or any textarea CCK, or a block, etc.), select the input type where the tag is enabled, and type [bg|myimages].
For Picasa images, replace "myimages" by the RSS link you find in each of your Picasa galleries on the web. E.g. [bg|http://picasaweb.google.com/data/feed/base/user/tjfulopp/albumid/5349755...
